How We Research
Every review, ranking and fee table on VCard Guide is researched and written by one editorial desk — the VCard Guide Editorial Desk — and the byline on our content pages points here so you can see exactly who stands behind the numbers.
Who writes VCard Guide
VCard Guide is the editorial desk of Jams, a digital publisher. The desk maintains a structured dataset of 128 virtual card platforms — fintech accounts, crypto cards and specialist issuers — and turns providers' own published fee schedules into the comparisons on this site. There is no outsourced review farm and no AI-generated fee data: every figure traces back to a provider page a human on the desk actually read.
How we research
Each platform profile starts from the provider's own material: official fee pages, pricing pages, help centres and terms of service, recorded into the dataset with the source attached. We compare the standard tier a normal user actually pays — not the marketing tier. When a headline cashback rate needs a top VIP level or a five-figure stake, our tables say so in plain text. The dataset was last fully re-verified in October–November 2026, and reviews carry a "fees checked" date with links to the official sources consulted, so any reader can re-check a number in one click.
What we never do
No provider can pay for placement, a better ranking or a kinder review, and sponsored slots on this site are switched off. We also do not publish star ratings we cannot stand behind: our reviews argue a verdict from fees and facts instead of inventing a score. Where a platform is not available in a region, needs full ID, or buries a fee in its terms, the review says that too — the unflattering facts are the product.
Corrections
Fees in this industry change monthly, and readers are often the first to spot a change. If a figure in any review no longer matches the provider's live fee page, tell us via the contact page or at hello@vcardguide.com — corrections are checked against the provider's own pages and folded into the dataset.
